Hi again, A follow-up: (1) I opened the 4040, and I could see that the head moved "out", then approx to the middle of the disk, then back and so forth... so it doesn't read the disk - that's for sure. (2) I also noticed that the 4040 might actually be sick... or maybe only modified - the 6532 is located on an extra socket (mounted in the original socket) + a few wires are added. So... don't know if it works... //Claus Claus Just Rasmussen wrote: > Hi Nicolas, > > I tried - not good ;-) > > imgrd -i 0 -t 0 -f 40 c:\diskette > > It went quickly through the disk (selected drive 0), wrote "0" at each > sector (what's the numbers?), created a F80 file in current dir and > died - after it read t35, I got the normal "Status:" line, but at that > time nothing happened and the 4040 statusled went Red + the drive 0 > was still red. > I then powered the 4040 off, then on which resulted in a normal green > led on the 4040 + imgrd exited with an ibcmd error, liberr 2 - no > listener. > > //Claus > > Claus Just Rasmussen wrote: >> Hi again, >> >> Did the test with the disk with problems - and the exact result: >> >> ibcmd ERROR >> ibsta=&Hc170 < ERR TIMO CMPL REM CIC ATN > >> iberr = 6 <Op. aborted> >> ibcnt = 0 >> >> I then retried with the no-timeout option enabled.
