what's the difference to Mika Leinonen's 1581
"replica" board, the DCN-2692 floppy controller ?

Some months ago a built such a board together
with a slimline FDD and put both into a black
painted metal case not bigger than a standard
3,5" FDD. From all testing I did so far, it does
work the very same like a CBM 1581 disk drive.

Mika does give away all the construction
material for free, schematics, board layout, as
well as the ABEL or JEDEC files for programming
the CPLD (I got the preprogrammed CPLD as well
as a board directly from Mika some years ago).

Maybe Mika's construction helps in debugging
your one.
