I built and used the Galblast for my own GAL based projects with 16V8 and 20V8, and it works fine. Building it is a pain, because you really need a circuit board with through-plated holes, otherwise the device will be unreliable. Ask me, I etched the board myself and sometimes it will not work, then I have to go looking for the bad connection ... So if you're going to have a few boards manufactured, I surely would want one of those, too :) And I'm sure other will also take one. Things the GALBlast can't do: - preloading of registers for automated testing with test vectors - reading of copy protected GALs (but which device can?). Maybe uses register preloading anyway? > - What tools do you use to create those "JEDEC" files used to > burn the logic equations into the GAL? I surely didn't have to pay for it. Nicolas Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list
