Hallo Ethan, > "- The 9060 contains all the code for a second drive with the > exception of the Backup/Duplicate command." Your idea with the two ST225s made me realize that the above phrase isn't complete; it also should say that it is meant for the Bus Controller only. What you also should know: the ROM for the DC hasn't any reference to a second drive. And this made me go through the code again and I just discovered something else: unlike the 8250, and even the one- drive 1541, the 9060 does not ORA the job code with the drive number i.e. bit 0 has no function at all. > Makes me wonder if there's room for "Backup/Duplicate" in the ROMs There is a chunk of 1359, 590, 14 and 78 free bytes. It is doable: I programmed an image copier for my 1541IDE project. > .... (up to two hours for a D9090, IIRC). I could try to disassemble the other ROMs as well. -- ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud Baltissen \ \__|_\ \___| http://Ruud.C64.org ------- End of forwarded message ------- -- ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud Baltissen \ \__|_\ \___| http://Ruud.C64.org Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2011-02-12 15:00:13
