Hallo allemaal, I want to adjust my findings about the 90x0 not supporting multiple drives. I already mentioned the fact that the BC doesn't combine the job and drive number, something even the 1541 does. I also told you that when addressing the SASI controller, the DC always uses address 1. Yesterday evening I found out that the DC also has reserved a variable for the drive number. It is used everywhere inside the ROM except for the moment the SASI controller has to be addressed. A bit weird: the BC only supports two drives but the DC up to four! What I really like about the 90x0 is that it has an EPROM instead of a 6530 which means one can reprogram things quite easily. For someone like me, not having a working SASI controller and not yet having figured out what the DC sends to the controller, this means I can program my own interface but also make use of multiple hard disks. -- ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud \ \__|_\ \___| URL: Ruud.C64.org De informatie in dit e-mailbericht is vertrouwelijk en uitsluitend bestemd voor de geadresseerde.
