Furthermore, it can be used *only* for that purpose, it cannot replace an X*1541 cable. Additionally, unlike the X*1541 cables which are passive, the 1541EMU needs some circuitry for the ATN trap. Thus, it is more complicated to build it. As the parallel ports are vanishing anyway, I think the ZoomFloppy (or the XS1541) would be better candidates for this. Regards, Spiro. -- Spiro R.
