Hello, in case some readers here haven't seen the video with Bil Herd talking about the C116: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPD5N43VIsk I also found a few pictures of a C116 prototype before the 6529, PLA and banking logic was added: http://plus4world.powweb.com/hardware/390132 Only 10 chips on it... It also shows that the layout was completly redone for the production version. If you have a C116 board, take a look at the chip numbers. Everything with a number of U101 or above was (as I understand it) added later, the original design works without it. And here's something people have done with the limited hardware (plus a SID card for the sound): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAtY4UCO7xA Sometimes a chip like the 6529 would come in handy since it's small, bidrectional and easy to use... To bad no one else makes one like it. Gerrit Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2012-01-20 20:00:04
