Happy, happy joy. :-) Now I have a working one it's only a matter of time before the 720 also lives and breathes. I forsee a late night tonight... I also got a cartridge with it called profi-text and another strange dongle that looks like it converts the cassette port to a 6-pin DIN. I do recall some talk of someone hacking the kernal on a PET to use IEC drives - could this be simething similar I wonder? Whatever is in it was not meant to be seen by the owner without destroying it. It's glued together very thoroughly. Q: does it have a built in ML monitor and is there a friendly user guide on-line?
