The original question was if it was possible to create just only a 6502 using a FPGA. This picture was taken 3, or maybe 4 years ago, showing the very first PCB created by Gideon Zweitzer, the developer of the 1541 Ultimate. The PCB contains an Altera FPGA, an EEPROM for programming it, plus a connector for the Logic Analyzer.
