Hallo Bil, First I have to a make an apology: reading it afterwards, my story wasn't very clear. And sometimes I ask questions too soon to save time. But unclear questions only cost time, not only nine but also others :( Server64 is nothing more then a program to enable a PC to emulate an IEC disk using a X1541 cable. As Spiro already mentioned, the freeze happens during the autoboot. I'm sure the lines are released during the reset but the autoboot causes the program to react to something that the C128 does (it is visible on the PC screen) and only then the C128 freezes. I'm sure the program runs into something it doesn't understand completely and does something to the lines in the wrong way. Unplugging the cable solves the problem. After plugging it in again, bothe the C128 and the PC act if nothing happened. The C128 can send commands and the PC handles them. But in case of the PC, not quite as it should. It's weekend now and I hope to find some time to have a thoroughly look my self. (it's tax time over here and that has priority :( ) -- ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud Baltissen \ \__|_\ \___| http://Ruud.C64.org Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2012-02-25 11:00:05
