Back when the C16/Plus4 came out I was fascinated by the extended screen editor (ie: ESC+key functions and windowing). This was before the C128 came out. These are all based on the CBM-II screen editor routines I believe. I attempted to create a C64 kernel with these features by disassembling the C16 kernel editor routines and patching them in the cassette area on the C64 kernel. I had it mostly working but it would crash after a short period. If anyone is interested I could dig up my files. That reminds me of something I read about the C64GS kernel actually having windowing routines built in. Has anyone disassembled the kernel to verify it? I have a lot of ideas. I was thinking of to just have it load the old BASIC and Kernal from disk into ram and do a total rewrite from scratch. I would need more interested people though, or remove the cassette routines and add networking. > > > >On Fri, May 24, 2013 at 1:19 AM, Baltissen, GJPAA (Ruud) <ruud.baltissen@apg.nl> wrote: > >Hallo Ted, >> >> >>> http://www.minows.net/ >> >>It seems that you are the only who could present an altered BASIC ROM, thank you! >> >> >>-- >> ___ >> / __|__ >> / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud >> \ \__|_\ >> \___| URL: Ruud.C64.org >> >> >> >> >> >>De informatie in dit e-mailbericht is vertrouwelijk en uitsluitend bestemd voor de >>geadresseerde.
