Lexmark printers are very specific about the size of memory they can
address in one slot.  There is no way to get around it.  It is a
limitation in the addressing circuits.  Also, the addressing for the slots
is not idientical.  Some of the slots will address higher capacity SIMMs
than others.  Call 1-800-LEXMARK for help or see their web page
www.lexmark.com.

There is more to matching SIMMs than size, speed and page mode.  There is
also refresh interval and refresh addressing to consider, among others.
Sounds like your SIMMs are not refreshing properly.  See www.kingston.com
for their memory index, although I doubt the SCPU will be listed.
