Even if he is (today), he’s a sign of times. More and more people are going to be like him in this context.

It takes time and lots of education efforts. But as they coped with time zones being introduced they will be able to cope with them being eventually removed and remaining only a historical experiment dating in the 19th century’s lack of better ideas or lack of means to educate the population on a global scale.

or - as some pragmatically thinking countries already did - just ditch the DST like Chinese did after trying it and realising that it brings more harm than good. Or ditch it by remaining on a permanent DST like Russia decided not so long ago, also realising that it brings more harm than good to vary people’s activity hours, either by switching clock or by telling people to get up ad different time. Actually DST’s clock changing is only an exploit of people’s habits. Sort of camouflage for telling people to get up earlier or later. When time zones are abandoned, there is no need for this cheating anymore and the “permanent DST” is very easy to implement if it is decided like in case of Russia.

BTW - I tend to believe that DST has a chance to pass away earlier than timezoning so this problem won’t be there anymore when we come to deal with the bigger one.
