Hallo Bo, Next message can be read best with a non proportional font. > http://ode2commies.blogspot.com/2015/10/when-pee-cees-leak.html AFAIK the most used circuit looks like this: +5V ---|>|---+---|<|---+--- rechargeable battery | | +---RRR---+ | RTC When replacing the rechargeable battery with a lithium one, things would already work out by just removing the left diode. A problem with the Commodore boards is that the RTC and/or battery sit under the drives. So to be able to replace them, you have to remove the structure that holds the drives end the Power supply. When I had to replace my battery, I used another rechargeable one and soldered two long wires between the battery and the original connections. The battery has been glued in the empty space between the ISA slots and the front. The advantages, if it starts to leak, it cannot leak on the board and it can be replaced much more quickly.
