mc3446N vs mc3446AP

hi

when I tried to buy some 3446 I was told that the AP and N were 
compatible...

I've just discovered something strange

when I have a 3446N on UA20 and a 3446AP on UB17and UC12  the bus works

when I have a 3446AP on UA20  2 symptomes :

     - device not found

     - no response    "catalog   no output"


any idea ?
