For some reasons our experiences differ substantially then. I had some successful audio-level copies but it was a hit'n miss game every time. AGC didn't matter. I mostly didn't use it anyway.

Positive side-effect of that was that I had to learn cracking much faster than it would be if audio-copies were reliable and made without much effort and many retries ;-)
