This 1MHz transfer speed is a serious bottleneck and having Jeri's video upgrade board to work with the SuperCPU as a 'video accellerator' will suffer poor performance. I would encourage Jeri to build a video accellerator that will work in a c64, a 128 in 64 mode and a Commodore 64 or 128 equipped with a SuperCPU. Let's worry about the speed later. Of course, it should have a disable switch to allow 128 mode operation in those c128's. Then, if things are successful, I would encourage Jeri to create a video upgrade that plugs directly into the Rocket Socket, effectively replacing the SuperRAM card. This way, the video upgrade will be able to communicate with the SuperCPU at 20MHz. As for the 16Mb of memory, it can be shared between this video upgrade and the 65816, similar to what the 6510 and the VIC-II already share such memory. Enjoy. -Todd Elliott ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today!
