Hola jb, Thanks; I already understand the process hueristically though. What I am wondering is if someone has an accurate technical explanation of what is going on. For example, what signal is $d418 scaling, and how does it scale it? Does it boost the signal, or does it reduce it? And out of curiosity, are the volume levels uniformly divided? i.e. is volume level 5 really five times volume level 1? (Surely someone has measured this, or would like to :).
