Hi Ruud,

This may not help much but I too have a PC20-III with it's original 20MB
hard-disk. I tried to replace the 20MB unit with a 100MB (IDE not EIDE)
drive. This 100MB drive failed with the same message you received below.
When I plugged back in the original it worked fine...

Regards,

James.

Hallo,

I received a PC20-III without an HD. Hooked one to the machine but it said
"Harddisk not found". I assume you need to run a setup program. I checked
the $C8000 area where you normally find the BIOS for the old XT- and
SCSI-controllers but nothing found there.
The booklet I have only mentions that all needed material is delivered with
the HD.
FYI: this board has an onboard IDE interface. I know its possible to insert
an MFM-controller but I prefer to use its original interface.

Thanks for any info.

Groetjes, Ruud
