I hope This is of course not directed at you in particular, but in my less than humble opinion this is exactly one of the major problems with the modern C= community -- dreaming is so much easier than doing that little gets done. Worse, it is as you say a pastime, a kind-of game; lacking seriousness. I am quite sure that I'm not the only one who stopped reading comp.sys.cbm for that reason -- that almost nobody is actually serious about what they're talking and dreaming about. Even worse, is I can point to several modern dreamers who used to be productive hardware and software doers. And finally, I don't think I've ever seen people like Jolse or Maurice dreaming.
