The problem was that one expansion only disconnected +5V, the other only the I/O lines etc. etc. IMHO the following lines have to be disabled in one or another way: - EXROM - GAME - CLK2 - ROML - ROMH - IO1 - IO2 For every slot one 541 will do to connect the above signals with the C64. One 573 is enough to handle up to 8 slots. The only problem is maybe the lengh of the busses. We cannot equip this slot expander with buffers as we have no means to tell when the buffer should be activated and, more important, in what direction.
