...when, after some time of fiddling, you can see the well known white/cyan screen (+ the '3583 bytes free' message :-) ) of a VC-20, that was once put aside as defective, and has spent the last 10-15 years in a loft ;-). BTW, the unit seems to have a replaced 6502 chip. It is a "SYU6502", 8434. Does anyone know of this manufacturer? (Besides the known 65xx supporters like Rockwell I've seen some 6502s even from UMC, but I still thought the 65xx series some more 'proprietary' than the Intel compatibles back then (that usually came from several manufacturers)).
