A Processor Direct Slot (Commonly called PDS on macs) is simply an extension of the processor's I/O lines to a header. This has the advantage of allowing a hardware designer to make most anything for the machine, including a processor accelerator. They're also called a 'processor slot' on amigas. ;) However, Jeri stated that she'll be suing some sort of narrow ZorroII'ish bus, so I dont have much to worry about. :) -jb - This message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list.
