I wasn't able to do any measuring. IMHO I don't see any reason why it should
do it at all; the 1571 just risks frustating any communication between other
devices.

To be sure I checked the SRC. The actual routine starts at $8FFD
(ROM-version 03, Data Becker) where it checks wether it is "M0" or "M1".
Both routines do nothing at all with port B of the $1800-6522 (AFAIK).

So what gives you the idea it does negate the lines?
