It means that you might have a defective 6530 chip, or a defective 6504 CPU
(the one that talks to the floppy drive, not the CPU that talks to the IEEE
bus).  Something internally isn't happy, and the drive is working well enough
to detect the fault and tell you about it.

I don't know much about the 8250LP - mine are all full-sized.
