It should be remembered though that not all programs behave as nicely as the
kernal. For example it is perfectly Ok for a program to sent file name to
the drive as:

ListenListenSecondary (that is three bytes under attention) rather than the
customary ListenSecondary (that is two bytes). Therefore robust ATN handler
needs to check what it gets on the go, and not just assume it will be either
a one or two byte command sequence as it could be 3, 4, 5...
