Yes the Consultant is a database manager and does require the dongle. BI made a very fine word processor (and integrated terminal in the last version) Paperclip I acquired a BI dongle for Spell Pro a couple weeks ago but no disk of course. They had an IEEE to C64 converter that a lot of BBS's used (for SFD1001 FDD chaining) 3 or 4 1 meg floppies on a C64 was like a small hard drive.
