Hi, (My first post here - apologies if this is the wrong place to be asking this.) I've just acquired a PET 3032. Unfortunately, all it produces at power up is a series of faint green horizontal lines across the middle third of the screen. (I tried taking a picture, but the lines are so faint that they don't really show up properly.) I've checked the power supply output, and all the outputs from it seem to be around 15-16V AC, which sounds about right from what I've read elsewhere. I'm at a bit of a loss to know what to do next though to narrow the cause down further. Would a problem like this definitely be something to do with the video board, or could a motherboard problem cause something like this? I've looked at the video board, and everything looks fine at a visual inspection, but that doesn't really prove much. I also downloaded the schematics for the board, but the only ones I could find that seemed close were for a 2001-N, and I'm not sure how similar a 3000 series is - the board I have looks a bit different, but that could just be down to me not being able to read a schematic properly. Is there anything I can type from the keyboard that might help me to check whether it's just the video side of things that is bad? I know I could try loading from a datasette if I had one, but unfortunately I don't have one to hand. Any help would be appreciated - just looking at this thing brings back so many childhood memories of misspent hours playing "Nightmare Park" when I should have been doing Computer Studies, but it would be so much better if I could actually get it running again...
