It is possible to emulate up to 30 serial bus devices on a computer that is equipped with an RS-232 port. I've successfully tested SAVE, LOAD and GET# commands in BASIC. However, for some reason, the C2N232 can't properly act as a controller: the 1541 won't accept commands from it. I didn't have time to look at it further, and I would also need some screenshots from a 3-channel memory oscilloscope or logic analyzer in order to determine what the problem is.
