Hallo Steppe, > sorry, what exactly was the point of this posting, I don't > really get it...? > ..... > Could it be your laptop is too old then? Now who is to blame for this > miserable situation, cbm4win or WindowsXP? > ...... It was no meaning to offend or upset anybody. But it is how _I_ feel about this matter. I never the less appreciate the work Spiro is doing because I know he helps people. > Come on, either you start up Win98 or you start up DOS. > ..... > But hey, I'm sure you have your reasons. Two very simple ones: - The software I develop and use is very time sensitive so IMHO a multitasking OS is out of the question. W98 enables me to start up in real DOS-mode if I want too, XP cannot unless I install another OS first. - My products can run on a 486 or Pentium 1 with just 4 MB of RAM and a 40 MB harddisk. I wonder if you can run XP on it. W98-DOS can. And this means that the laptop mentioned above, instead of just laying around, can have a usefull life. -- ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud \ \__|_\ \___| URL: Ruud.C64.org =====DISCLAIMER================================================================= De informatie in dit e-mailbericht is vertrouwelijk en uitsluitend bestemd voor de geadresseerde.
