wELL...let me tell you my experience.. i happen to live in one of the 2 countries in the whole world (i guessÇ), that use PAL-N And when i buy a computer from europe, which i think is PAL B. for example, from Germany, i can only see it in black & white...no colour at all.. I use a transcoder pal-n-pal-whatever to be able to watch in full colours everything... Somebody told me that PAL-N is like a cheap version of original PAL... Why my country adopted such a decision...well...yo have to go back to the World Cup ´78....and ask technicians here and from Telefunken (the company who brought PAL to Argentina specially for tv for the World Cup....) But thats another story... Just my 2 cents...
