Not completely true. You can buy a video capture card such as the ati "all in wonder" that you install into your modern pc and it will handle pal ( many different types too) ,secam, and ntsc. I hook up my pal vic-20 and c128 to the video inputs and I get an excellent color picture on my 19 inch svga monitor. Finally got to play Toki, over here in canada, on my C128!
