This smells to me that nothing is compressed, and a 4-kilobyte cartridge will use up 8 kilobytes of ROM. The total ROM capacity seems to be 2 MB. The 4 MB flash on the cartridge I built can hold pretty much all Vic-20 software and cartridges. Everything is packed tightly: there's no wasted space on the flash. Ah, I should finally grab myself by the horns and finish that image generator. I already had a working one, before I decided to implement subdirectories in the menu firmware.
