I've been studying my C64Gs recently and they intrigued me. Does anyone know the approximately dates when they were sold? One of mine has chips from 1988, so they must have been among the first BN/E board computers sold, whereas I thought they came much later. The case seems to have been adapted from the C16; RF and H/L are the wrong way round and slightly out of place, as is CASSETTE (which would have been over the mini DIN socket in the C16). A further indication of this is that the lettering for USER PORT is slightly taller than all the other markings - this would indicate that it had been added to the mould later using a slightly different character set. Does anyone else on the list have a C64G to confirm these observations? All in all, a rather good-looking machine. I've built some user port network cables to run two (or more) of them in parallel for some audio programs I'm designing. Richard - This message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list.
