It comes up and says "Commodore C64 Games System" with graphics indicating the power should be turned off and a cartridge inserted. Of course, you cannot run a cartridge in this configuration. The STOP-RESTORE function did not reset the system, but this does not mean it will not function once the system has passed this part. The next step is to put the 64GS kernal into an EPROM. The place where the kernal ROM is different is where the kernal would normally have the tape routines.
