If you're capable of C development at all, I can walk you through making a C116 version of C=Key. I'd do PS/2 first, as I am working on USB here, and all but the PS/2 or USB codebase will be identical. If you want to do PS/2 or USB to C116, you don't need the large C=Key form factor. You need only 10 IO lines (8 for the cross point switch, 2 for PS/2 or USB, and 2 for things like RESET and maybe UART out. An arduino AVR (M328 or something like that) has plenty of IO.
