All PC versions can run all DOS versions atleast from 1.x to 6.x. The only difference between PC and XT is hard disk support, or actually support for booting from bootable ISA cards, and possible bug fixes. AT adds support for the WD 1003 hard disk controller, which is what every PATA/IDE hard disk emulates. No use in a CBM machine unless you add support for ISA or an ISA compatible IDE controller. So I'd say that there is not much difference between all these machines. It might be a good idea to stick to XT if any software tests what kind of processor the machine has by trying BIOS calls. -- (\_/) Copy the bunny to your mails to help (O.o) him achieve world domination.
