PC, XT or AT? On one hand, lowering the level will limit the number of applications that can run, but on the other hand, writing the emulation layer would be much easier. I suppose, AT is out of the question as the underlying processor is not an 80286 anyway. But should we go for XT or just the PC? The question is, what is the minimum machine MS-DOS 2.0 can run on? Can it run on the original PC (I suppose so) or does it require XT? What about DOS 3.x, which I think is the highest we can reasonably go - can it run on an original PC? Regards, Michau.
