The ones I ordered were OK except the datecodes were suspicious. I have got a batch of fake 6502s. They were supposed to be Rockwells but I don't really know what they are. They look perfectly "new" from the top and the sides, pins are also like new. All straight, pointing away as expected. Only the bottoms look suspiciously ugly. I realised fully what's wrong with them when I needed to solder one in (as opposed to put it in the socket) and dropped the board into hot ultrasonic cleaning agent after soldering. The paint on the top started to peel... Most of them work normally but some expose "strange" unreliabilities. So - as Gerrit suggests - thorough testing is highly advisable. -- SD! - http://e4aws.silverdr.com/ Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2017-11-15 08:00:02
