I have three plotters here and all of them have this broken motor gear -
thats a common problem.
I think it's because it is a cheap plastic gear.
Atari has a plotter with the same ALPS plotter inside for the 800xl/600xl.

I repaired the best of my plotters with this gear and it worked perfectly.
But I don't know how I fixed it - I think I glued them with cyanacrylat.
