I can verify that going to Tools -> Alternatives -> Advanced -> 
Configuration editor and setting the variable 
mail.override_list_reply_to to false will fix this for cbm-hackers, 
likely also other mailing lists.

How other email clients are doing this, and what should be desired 
behavior is beyond me, but as Thunderbird recently introduced this 
change must mean practises are about to change.
