  If you're using a c64 in a VR experience, then it's a safe assumption 
that it's not real. That doesn't mean it's bad.

People get passionate about their own c64 they grew up with and 
commodore couldn't make two c64's the same either. I'm less worried 
about that, I still think PlaySID on the Amiga sounds great.

I find the Vice colours to be reasonable these days, it looks better 
than when I use an LCD on real hardware. I have full screen video 
captures of each colour from my c64 that I did years ago and I used to 
have a palette from that, but I need to dig that out.

Me too. Although at the moment I have 2 c128d's that are completely dead, my old breadbin will occasionally turn on & my c128 was playing up the last time I tried. Real hardware is kinda annoying for someone who doesn't have the knowledge to fix it.
