I have two OC-168 and in one of them the ROM, in reality an EPROM, had lost some of its contents. EPROMs do that after a certain time. The drive would work partially, but crash when doing certain things. The ROM was labeled G39-251968-03, if you have that, you can use a ROM from a 1541-II as a replacement.
