Slowing the cpu down to 1mhz when reading or writing to vic2's ram is going to be worse than a supercpu connected to a c64. My understanding of the results he wanted to achieve, it wouldn't slow the cpu down that much. The p500 doesn't do anything like that anyway, the cpu runs at 1mhz and cycles get stolen no matter what the cpu and vic2 bank is. Extra complexity would be wasted as the cpu and vic2 are normally in bank 15 anyway, color ram is always in bank 15 even when vic2 is fetching from one of the dram banks & there is no built in mechanism to switch the cpu into dram banks and back again to call the kernal.Received on 2021-06-02 01:00:03
