Most portable flash media is 3.3 volts, and I wanted to make a 5-volt
design, since the SRAM and the flash ROM can then use a shared bus.
There is also MultiMediaCard, which would have only 7 pins to connect,
but a serial interface is not so useful if you want the computer to boot
from the ROM. It is also difficult to obtain the connector.
