I've recently (before this thread) been re-reading "Operating Systems: Design and Implementation" because I need to know more about the insides of things. It's still packed full of great stuff! > Strange thing: the directories 1.1 and 1.2 contain directories with > floppy images. The later ones don't. Unfortunately for me, the last time I was messing around with it, I caused a short and blew out the VLB disk controller. I have a spare. I just need to spend some time fiddling with it. Mostly, I've been reading/writing CBM and Apple floppies, so I've been using my ZoomFloppy and trying to get ADTpro to work (I'm borrowing a KryoFlux that should arrive today). And for as many times as I've read the book, I never have set up MINIX from scratch. I should do that at least once. I even paid for the Amiga floppies when Prentice Hall discontinued them, but I never tried to get Amiga MINIX working either. :-/ -ethan Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2015-10-16 20:01:28
