If you have a big screen (more than 80x25 characters), there are two alternatives for Lynx: "links" and "w3m". Both display tables and frames in a better way than Lynx. But Lynx probably has more protocols and is better tested. I use Lynx too for regular surfing. Only when I really need some information from a badly designed site, I start up Netscape.
