It is the very same "bug", but the tread never went as far as making any
final conclusions.
Someone called Werner claimed that he knows the author of said demo and
that the scroller message is a hoax. That sounds, at least to me,
reasonable.
However, I'd still be very interested in learning exactly how this
effect works. Is there really no one on the list that knows how it is
done? I mean it's not exactly something new and it sounds just like the
kind of thing that many in this audience would find exciting.
If not, does anyone care to disassemble the demo?
I'd be happy to do it myself, but I probably wouldn't have the time to
do it within the near future. Either way, does anyone know where I can
get it?
