Hallo allemaal, I recently aquired a PDC Clipper. Please see the two bottom left pictures at http://commodore-gg.hobby.nl/juni2004col4.htm This suitcase is actually a C64 plus a lot of extras: a thermical (?) printer, a 3" floppy (3, not 3.5), a plasma screen, an extended BASIC and extra I/O. The Belgian I bought it from said it was from 1983 but writing this email I remember that the 64'er mentioned it so IMHO it must be at least 1984. FYI, I bought it for 100 Euro. Why did I buy it? My very first C64 was built from leftovers when PDC went bankrupt. Some years later I gave the set to the children of a friend. When the interest in C= returned, I regreted that decision of course. This oportunity made up that loss in more than one way. Technical details: - C64, rev. A or B. I opened it but, not that far. - on top of this board is an extra board with I/O and extra ROMs. This extra I/O includes at least a 6522 and a 6551. But the 6551 was not placed. IRRC there was another place for a 6522. The last one was meant for an IEEE448 interface. - the plasma-display is connected to the VIC by means of a small PCB situated between the VIC and the C64-mobo. - a small 6502 system made out of a 6264, 6522, 765 and 2*2764s serves as interface between the IEC-bus and the 3" floppy. The above is from memory, seeing the pictures reminded me that I hadn't told you yet because of the fuzz around Commodore/Tulip. Next week I have a week off and if there is more interest, I will dig up more details. -- ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud \ \__|_\ \___| URL: Ruud.C64.org =====DISCLAIMER================================================================= De informatie in dit e-mailbericht is vertrouwelijk en uitsluitend bestemd voor de geadresseerde.
