The /DMA line in the C64's expansion port allows to stop the CPU in the same way the VIC-II does. I wired a probe tip and with the computer in the BASIC boot screen I shorted the wire to ground. The cursor stopped blinking. I opened the short back and the cursor doesn't resume blinking. I shorted the wire to VCC, in the hopes it would be interpreted and "gone high" but the cursor won't resume blinking. I then wired /IRQ and shorted it to ground, trying to pull it low, with the hope of forcing the standard interrupt routine to work with no success. I would like to know how to make it work. Thanks.Received on 2022-07-09 22:00:07
